I am Sotiris Pelekanos, born in 1956 in Akanthou
I am Sotiris Pelekanos, born in 1956 in Akanthou in the province of Famagusta, a village famous for its excellent quality olive oil.
I've recently retired, so I can now devote myself to my great love, which is olive growing and olive oil production
Unfortunately, my village has been occupied by Turkish troops since 1974. For many years, I have been maintaining olive groves in the village of Frenaros, an area of 2 hectares and 750 trees of the Koroneiki variety. My trees are 2-20 years old. I have recently retired from my main occupation and I can now devote myself to my great love, which is olive growing and the production of olive oil of excellent quality.
For the first time, this year I have bottled my oil and my aim is to improve the presentation of my product
For the first time, this year I have bottled my oil and my aim is to improve the presentation of my product, so that people can easily find what I have to offer, which is extra virgin olive oil, produced with knowledge, experience and passion.

Greetings from the beautiful island of Cyprus –Paphos
My name is Diogenis Demetriou and I was born on the 28th of December 1974 in Statos Village, of the Paphos Region. Statos Village is at an altitude of 1000 meters, the highest village in Paphos.
It was in 2020 where I realized I needed to follow my true passion and make my dream a reality
From a young age I was always involved in the cultivating of olive trees. In 1994 I planted the first 500 olive trees, half Koroneiki and half Cypriot ladoelia.
I now have reached 3000 olive trees in my grove. It was in 2020 where I realized I needed to follow my true passion and make my dream a reality. A new and synchronized bottling unit was built. This is where the olive oil is stored, bottled, labeled and packaged for selling.
People can come and taste our olive oil products and tour around our estate. We also produce homemade olive jams with unique flavors, olive paste and olive liqueur.
I plan to extend onto my existing building to add a mill so that I can press my own olives on site
I plan to extend onto my existing building to add a mill so that I can press my own olives on site and I would like to increase my production by planting another 2000 olive trees.
Even though we want to become bigger I firmly believe in gaining the best quality instead of quantity. We hope every home has a bottle of extra virgin olive oil because as the Prophet said: ‘Eat olive oil, for it comes from a blessed tree’.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil is at its core a pivotal and exemplary cultural artefact
I am Demetris Taliotis, and I am the Chief Olive Oil Obsessive at Aparthenasa, a decentralized, family owned and operated agrocraft estate in Cyprus.
Ruggedly individualistic, passionate about research, and audacious in outlook, at Aparthenasa we primarily focus on creating terroir-driven Extra Virgin Olive Oil, by utilizing regenerative agriculture methods and applying the latest agrifood innovations and agricultural management practices, to closely monitor and secure the quality of the Extra Virgin Olive Oil we produce, from the field to the bottle.
We aim to de-commodify micro-produced, terroir-driven and sensorially exciting Extra Virgin Olive Oil
We have as a central mission to de-commodify micro-produced Extra Virgin Olive Oil from Cyprus. To achieve that, we first and foremost look after the health and biodiversity of 6.5 ha of olive trees under our care, and work closely with millers, agronomists, researchers, land agents and others in exploring and promoting the variety and variability of the myriad organoleptic profiles of Extra Virgin Olive, in a way that enhances the sensorial pleasures consumers can relish from such an exemplary and pivotal cultural artifact.
Based across two sites, we produce sensorially exciting, monovarietal Koroneiki Extra Virgin Olive Oil, in very limited quantities
At the moment we are the custodians of two main cultivars – Koroneiki and Kato Drys, an indigenous Cypriot one – and we are based across two main sites. One, our beloved Vavatsinia forest olive grove, in the Troodos Mountains, 600 metres above sea level, was devoured by the July 2021 wildfire, but we are in the process of reviving it. The other is the petite grove of the Kythreotis Estate, located in the Sia hills, across copper and iron ore rich alluvial soils. Both of our groves are transitioning to organic farming certification.
