Among the most award-winning olive cultivars, Athinolia is one of the most ancient and indigenous Greek olive varieties. It is cultivated exclusively in southern Lakonia, in the municipality of Monemvasia, Peloponnese. Grown in a mild Mediterranean climate with warm winters and hot summers, Athinolia has an exceptional brilliant golden green color, robust fruitiness with dominant notes of citrus fruits and almond. Its taste is powerfully fresh, harmonious, and well-balanced with a delicate spicy finish. Unique in character with an exceptional aftertaste.

CULTIVATION METHOD

Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

PACKAGING

Launched as a stunning 250ml glass bottle beautifully packed in a bespoke hand-craft orthogonal box with a new metal pouring design for a perfectly controlled flow. The poorer is covered with a lid to protect the product from auto-oxidation. To better preserve the high quality of the product, always keep in a cool, dark and shaded place.

Health & nutritional claims
All our “MONOGRAM MONOVARIETALS” belong to the category of “High-polyphenolic EVOOs” that protect the blood lipids from oxidative stress according to the European Commission legislation (E.U Reg. 432/2012).

Our early harvesting contributes to a higher concentration of polyphenol antioxidants which are widely praised for their disease-fighting properties, providing antioxidants that have been scientifically linked to the prevention of health-related diseases.

Apart from the health claim as “High-polyphenolic EVOOs”, they also include a on their label the nutritional claim “High in Mono-unsaturated fat, Oleic acid” which can help to lower LDL cholesterol, blood pressure, and risk of coronary disease (according to the European Commission legislation (Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006)
