My name is Ilias Anagnostopoulos. I was born in Kalamata Greece and I am an olive oil and table olives producer. I am 51 years old, I have two children and I work as a producer since my 20’s, close to my father, also an olive oil producer with great experience. Our family produces olive oil almost for 100 years. My dream was always to create olive products of high nutritional value that will bring health and wellness to people’s lives. I always wanted my customers to eat the same quality of olive oil that I feed my children.
Our olive oil has a medium fruity, bitter and spicy character
This grove produces 1200kg of high-quality extra virgin olive oil. Olives are harvested in November (ripening stage 2 & 3), carried in plastic containers, taken to the mill the same day and processed in a modernized olive oil mill following cold extraction method to assure that all aromas, flavors and nutrients will stay intact. Acidity is from 0,17 to 0,3. Our olive oil has a medium fruity, bitter and spicy character with notes of freshly cut grass, tomato, artichoke, herbs, olive leaf and green almond. It has good complexity, harmony, balance and persistence.
Our olive groves are located close to ancient Messini at an altitude of 400m.
Our olive groves are located close to ancient Messini at an altitude of 400m. The cultivated land is 15000 square meters and host 250 trees of Koroneiki variety. The most cultivated variety in Greece and the world. The soil is mostly clay and we plough once a year around March. The climate is Mediterranean with strong sunshine, low humidity, and minor rainfalls which make it ideal for the cultivation of olive trees. We work with the integrated management system when it comes to pest control, fertilization, and irrigation to protect the environment, consumers, and future generations.
